YA Book Review- Mothership by Martin Leicht and Isla Neal

It’s the year 2074, Elvie Nara is eight months pregnant, and stuck in a boarding school for teen moms that also happens to be a low-orbiting space cruiser. Elvie is busy skipping class and trying to find a snack when the ship is attacked by a mysterious army. She rushes to the center of the ship where she knows her classmates and teachers will be gathered, only to find…the teachers drowning the students? This first novel in an upcoming series is action-packed and hilarious. Elvie is one of the funniest main characters to come around in a while. Pick this up if you like futuristic settings, spunky heroines, and intergalactic mysteries.
